Who will be your amazing teacher this Summer!
Mrs. Rebeka Moreno
Rebeka Moreno is a graduate from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Performance and Movement with a focus on Dance and Theatre. She also holds certifications in arts education (pedagogy).
She has over 20 years of experience performing Mexican folklore dance (danzas tradicionales Mexicanas) and has achieved multiple dance certifications throughout her career. She currently performs with our professional dance team and continues her advanced studies in danza folclorica Mexicana.
She is fun and energetic and her classes are always packed with dance insights and techniques that keep our students engaged and having fun while learning.
She is a professional salsa and cumbia dancer as well among the many styles of dancing that she loves!
About Our Summer Camp
Folklorico class - Students will learn folklorico dances, terminology, and history of each dance they learn. Maestra Rebeka Is a leader in pedagogical approaches and loves to help every student Succeed.
Spanish class - Maestra Rebeka will be teaching classes in both Spanish and English. Our Spanish class will be following the same curriculum taught in Mexico for each grade level.
Theatre games - Theatre games are a time to connect, react, and explore. These games are made up of body movement, sounds, and critical thinking.
Hands on cultural activity - Every week we will focus on a different cultural craft related to Mexico and it’s indigenous cultures. These will be hands on activities that will explore the five senses.
